Opportunities to Serve

Our congregation life is overseen by a Council that is elected by the congregation. Five Boards oversee particular aspects of our ministry. All members of Trinity are encouraged to share their talents in ways that enhance our ministry.

Service in the Community:

  • Mission trips to New Orleans to help refurbish and rebuild hurricane-damaged homes
  • Delivery of Meals-on-wheels
  • Habitat for Humanity builds in cooperation with the Greater Hartford Conference of the ELCA
  • Other mission trips (in the past, members have traveled to several locations including Alaska and Appalacia)
  • Darfur Advocacy (working to end the genocide in Darfur and prevent another genocide in South Sudan)
  • Participation in the ONE Campaign to end extreme poverty
  • School kits and health kits delivered to people in need through Lutheran World Relief
  • Making quilts which are delivered around the world by Lutheran World Relief
  • Providing Christmas gifts for local children through Covenant to Care
